Some go to ride the rides, others go to watch the rodeos and concerts. Yet, many people go to the Colorado State Fair for the food.
There are all kinds of exotic food available at a booth at a fair. One of the weirdest is called “Jungle George’s Exotic Meats and Bugs.”
A food booth at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo is offering a something that most people would run from: maggots.
Jungle George stand owner George Sandefur sells a maggot melt sandwich.
Like a grilled cheese, it has two pieces of bread, two pieces of cheese and inside is a handful of maggots.
“I have not heard one bad complaint yet,” said Sandefur.
